Durst AC-901 Color Enlarger for sale in Montara, CA

1 of 1
For sale is one of the true elite enlargers produced by the best manufacture of enlargers the world has ever known. This AC-901 was referred to as "a printer on a stick" because of it's built in (under the negative carrier mount) automatic reading diodes. If you still have your heart into printing your film color negatives the good old fashioned way this enlarger will speed up things very significantly. This enlarger accommodates negative sizes from 110 all the way up to 6X9cm(that's 21/4"x31/4"). Maximum print size on it's large baseboard is 16"x20" for 35mm and 20"x24" from 6x7cm or larger negative sizes. It has two Rodenstock Rodagon lenses that operate on it's sliding lens deck. Most enjoyable is it's FLAWLESS autofocusing system which will keep focus tack sharp from 3x5 up to 20x24 sizes. It accomplishes this by utilizing a single top glass carrier with a bottom glassless carrier to ensure a perfectly flat negative, a must for autofocusing. This setup is complete with all negative carriers:35mm, 21/4"x15/8"(6x45cm), 21/4"x21 /4"(6x6cm), 21/4"x23/4"(6x7cm), 2/1/4"x31/4"(6x9cm). Includes all three light mixing boxes 35mm, 6x6cm, 6x9cm. AC-901 control panel, 1200 power box, foot switch, two manuals, extra parts and extra ELC lamps. All items and functions have been tested to operate AOK. One slight "issue" is the enlarger columns plastic geared teeth have some excessive wear at two points which will make a bit of noise when the enlarger is raised and lowered over those spots. It still has no problems tracking, it's just a bit noisy when moving in those areas. The baseboard size is 28"x26". The enlarger stands at 55" tall when fully raised to the top of its column. This beast ways in at just over 100lbs...it's not light weight. This enlarger will also do flawless work if your interested in doing only black&white printing, the enlarger can be set to manual timer mode...and you would use your color head for adjusting your contrast on variable contrast B&W printing papers.
